  1. Why am I getting JavaScript errors?

    JavaScript errors normally occur for one of two reasons:

    1. The browser is too old to support JavaScript. Check to ensure that you are using a current browser.
    2. The second main reason for JavaScript errors is that the browser has JavaScript disabled. JavaScript can be disabled manually, or in some cases as part of the installation procedure. Refer to your browser documentation or help files to find out the precise method used for enabling JavaScript

  2. Enabling JavaScript in Microsoft Internet Explorer.

    Internet Explorer 3.x

    1. On the View menu.
    2. Click Options.
    3. Click the Security tab.
    4. Turn on the 'Run Active Scripts' check box under Active Content.
    5. Click OK.

    Internet Explorer 4.0, 4.01

    1. On the View menu.
    2. Click Internet Options.
    3. Click the Security tab.
    4. Click Custom (for expert users).
    5. Click Settings.
    6. Scroll down to the Scripting section.
    7. Click Enable under Active Scripting.
    8. Click OK.

    NOTE: In Internet Explorer, the term "Active scripting" refers to both JavaScript and Microsoft Visual Basic Scripting Edition. Turning on the Run Active Scripts check box enables both types of scripts.


  3. Enabling JavaScript in Netscape.

    Netscape Navigator 3.x for Windows and Macintosh

    1. Choose Network Preferences from the Options menu.
    2. Click on the Languages tab to display the Languages settings page.
    3. Click on the Enable JavaScript check box.
    4. Click Apply
    5. Click OK.

    Netscape Communicator 4.x for Windows and Macintosh

    1. Choose Preferences from the Edit menu.
    2. Click on Advanced to display the Advanced settings tab.
    3. Click on the Enable JavaScript check box.
    4. Click OK.

  4. Enabling JavaScript in other browsers.

    Other browsers such as Opera or Mozilla should translate JavaScripts fine but those browsers has not been tested and you will have to check the documention to emable JavaScripting features.
